Welcome to our 2023 Coaches
Updated: Nov 26, 2022
After an exciting few weeks of planning, interviews and decisions, we are please to announce our appointed coaching panel for the 2023 season!
Bronte Ryan & Emily Fox
Head Coaches
The dynamic duo are ready to lead off where the 2022 season ended, continuing the strong foundations left by Reens & Gywnney. With a motto of One Team, One Heart, One Club; Bron & Foxy are eager to provide club-wide progression for all players, meeting individuals where they are and providing them with the tools to achieve their personal aspirations.

Bron takes on the Co-Coaching role, ready to lead the program after a successful year as a Seniors Assistant Coach and Mental Health Support Officer with MUWFC in 2022. Currently working through her Level 3 Coaching Course, Bron was part of the 2020 She Can Coach cohort and achieved her Level 2 Coaching Accreditation in 2015. She has coached across Senior and Youth programs, including at VFLW level with North Melbourne FC as a backline coach, and as the Head Coach of Fitzroy FC's women's side in the VAFA. As demonstrated through her role as both Assistant Coach and Mental Health Support Officer in 2022, Bron strives to form meaningful connections with players to ensure that the program provides the best outcome for them. Her football knowledge from her playing and extensive coaching experience has been valued highly by the club, and we can't wait to watch her immerse herself in this opportunity in 2023. | Foxy found herself regularly at MUWFC in 2022, after being spontaneously invited to deliver the pre-game rev-up speech to our Seniors in our 2022 Pride Round. Little did they know that they would be pulling on the Black & Blue for a game in our Reserves a few short months later, and supporting the Senior Coaches for the final part of the 2022 season. A recently retired VFLW player, Foxy has worked with the Williamstown FC VFLW side as a Development Coach, supporting players with skill acquisition and refinement, and providing senior playing experience. She has also coached with the St Kilda Sharks FC and served as the Runner for the Collingwood FC VFLW side. Foxy brings their VFLW experience and a strong community focus to MUWFC, and sees the value of each player involved in the club. She is currently completing her Level 2 Coaching Course with Penny Cula-Reid serving as her mentor. |
Alistair Hardie
Seniors Assistant Coach

After a short break, Alistair returns to MUWFC for the 2023 season! He comes to the club with a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and experience working across junior football and cricket. Al joined the club in early 2020, completing a preseason with our cohort, before officially taking the field as a coach in 2021 with our Reserves. Al is a greatly respected coach, and is eager to continue developing his coaching style in 2023. With plenty of footy under his belt as a player, Al brings strong technical knowledge and excellent communication to the squad. He will be looking to complete his Level 2 accreditation in 2023.
Rebecca Dee
Reserves Lead Coach
Hailing from St Bedes Mentone Tigers FC & Richmond Centrals AFC, we are thrilled to have Bek join our coaching staff for 2023. With a major focus on player wellbeing and experience coaching across Senior & Junior football, including working with the St Kilda FC's Next Generation Academy, we know our reserves will be in good hands for the upcoming season.
We look forward to supporting Bek to continue her coaching journey as she works towards completing her Level 2, and with aspirations to continue on the coaching pathway, we know the MUWFC community will be here to guide her on the way!
Molly Febey-Stevenson & Toby Lee
Reserves Assistant Coaches
Impressive individuals in their own right with experience across umpiring, playing, administration and of course, coaching, we are pleased to welcome this fantastic duo to the club in 2023.
Molly joins us from Williamstown FC VFLW with experience in player development, opposition and statistical analysis, and playing prowess! She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Sports Management at Victoria University and has a particular interest in talent identification and management. An incredibly diverse skill set from one individual that will be beneficial to the whole of the club! | Toby is currently working as a basketball coach with Lauriston Girls' School and has recently worked with the Uni Blacks as an Assistant Coach. Echoing many of our coaches, Toby has a strong focus on building team culture, and fostering strong rapport with individuals. With experience as an umpire and coach, Toby brings a unique view to the game in our coaching panel and has achieved his Foundation Coaching Accreditation. |
Carter O'Regan & Aaron King
Thirds Coaches
Big hearts and big footy brains, we can’t wait to see this pair in action with our Thirds in 2023. This will be Carter’s first coaching role, and Az’s 10th year at the club. Carter and Az both have an incredible passion for football, and are driven by the love of the game.

Having hung up the playing boots, Carter's experience as a player drove him to apply for the role with MUWFC, wanting to give back to the sport that he loves in a inclusive environment. Carter will be working with our other coaching staff to continue developing his coaching abilities as he moves from player to coach.

Az gives and gives and gives - MUWFC wouldn't be the same without him! Rarely missing a session in 2022, Az continued to develop his coaching under the guidance of Neil & Nan with the Thirds. His knowledge of the game is excellent, and he works hard to ensure all players have their time to shine on the field.
We can't wait for the 2023 season, and are still welcoming applications for Seniors Assistant/Development Coaches and Thirds Co-Coach. Please review our ad below for further details!
